The Medical Center of Southeast Texas is excited to announce the recipient of the DAISY Award for February 2022 is Brad Bonham, an RN in the ICU.

Here are some of the reasons he was nominated for the award:

"Brad Bonham is an ICU charge nurse who always responds to rapid responses. He evaluates the patient with great clinical skill and expertise and coordinates the team to ensure the patient gets the best care. He also ensures the family members are comforted, reassured and updated."

"Brad is an outstanding, caring, and knowledgeable nurse. He treats you as if you are family and never leaves anything undone. He is a team player, a great educator, and an all around good person."

“Brad is smart, compassionate to patients and family members, and a good leader to his team. He doesn't mind helping nurses on other units with skills, etc. Most importantly, he is a fierce patient advocate.”

The DAISY Award is a nationwide program presented in collaboration with the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day.
