TMC Celebrates 10th Anniversary

PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS – May 13, 2015. The Medical Center of Southeast Texas is pleased to announce that it is celebrating its 10th Anniversary of serving Mid and South Jefferson County. A complimentary Barbeque Reception will be hosted in the Auditorium of The Medical Center of Southeast Texas on Friday, May 15th at 11:00am to celebrate this occasion.

In April 2005, two long-standing community healthcare organizations, Park Place Medical Center and Mid-Jefferson Hospital, merged forces in an effort to better serve this area by providing a full range and complete continuum of care accompanied with the most advanced technologies available for the citizens of Southeast Texas. The Medical Center of Southeast Texas opened its doors, fulfilling these goals accompanied by a mission of caring for our community with compassion and a commitment to quality healthcare.

Ten years after the grand opening dozens of supporters, community leaders, Medical Staff partners, former patients, employees, and volunteers will gather to reflect on the past decade. The reception will kick-off a year of festivities planned in celebration of this monumental year. “This anniversary offers a unique way in which we can look back and see the difference we have been able to make in our community and the lives we’ve been able to touch in a powerful way,” stated Richard Gonzalez, Chief Executive Officer. “Countless different acts of service excellence and compassion have allowed us the opportunity to serve our community for the past decade and we are looking forward to the opportunity to show our gratitude.”
