Announcing the DAISY Award recipient for April 2022 is Sierra Roberts, a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab department at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Below are some of the reasons she was nominated for the award.

"Sierra is an outstanding, caring, and knowledgeable nurse. She treats you as if you are family and never leaves anything undone. She gives 100%, no matter what unit she is helping out. She is a team player, a great educator, and an all-around amazing soul.

Sierra is smart, compassionate to patients and family members, and a phenomenal leader to her team. She doesn't mind helping nurses on other units with skills, etc. Most importantly, she is a fierce patient advocate.

Sierra is the most deserving nurse I know. She gives this job her all and treats every patient as if it were her family she was fighting for. I promise you if you were to ask any patient of Sierra’s, they would advocate that she is the most amazing nurse that you want by your side."

The DAISY Award is a nationwide program presented in collaboration with the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day.
